Happy Diwali

This boy is about to go on his first date, and is nervous about what to talk about. He asks his friend for advice. The friend replies: "pal, there are three subjects that always work. These are food, family, and philosophy."
The boy picks up his date and they go to a soda fountain. Ice cream sodas in front of them, they stare at each other for a long time, as the boy's nervousness builds. He remembers his pal's advice, and chooses the first topic. He asks the girl: "Do you like spinach?" She says "No," and the silence returns. After a few more uncomfortable minutes, the boy thinks of his friend's suggestion and turns to the second item on the list. He asks, "Do you have a brother?" Again, the girl says "No" and there is silence once again. The boy then plays his last card. He thinks of his friend's advice and asks the girl the following question: "If you had a brother, would he like spinach?"
Thereby his story began...
10 years hence, he had grown up more, yeah, lots of mush and hair all over his body giving him macho look and smartness cropped in every aspect, may be its academic, athletics, stamina, IQ, or you-name-it. But the nausea that still prevailed is called QUARTER-LIFE CRISIS.
It was this hot summer day, when he was out to have a chai and spotted this girl lakshmi.
"Hey come on da, cheta, you can do it" murmured his pals. "yes, u can give it a shot, buddy"

"Hi, I...er...I think you too work in Elxsi"
"Yes"
"Fine, which department"
"AB @#$%& CD"
"oh, yeah thats a good department, you know"
"hmm"
"ppl do more Quality work, innovations, those kind of stuffs, you know"
...yawn...
"and the boss is good you know and everyone is peacful and..."
And she replied, "I think I have to leave ... 'you know' ... as you said we ppl prefer working you know "
"oh yeah fine, see you then"
Venugopal stopped counting on his attempts or futilities rather and is getting on his nerve. Throughout in his life, nothing seems to amuse him, full of blurred images through his wetted eyes. People associate his contemplative, absent minded, erratic behavior as some love failure but the fact that there is no love is known to venu alone.
Yet he had something to cherish for the moment...Its Deepavali...
ENJOY DEEPAVALI - only to those elite souls who could have always performed the best if given a chance.
